An innovative orientation course aimed at secondary school students in six Italian regions, home to major fashion districts.
Promoted by Accademia HModa, in collaboration with La Fabbrica, the initiative aims at generational turnover in the textile, fashion and accessories supply chain.
To bring the youngest students closer to discovering the trades and professions of Made in Italy fashion and orient them to choose high schools that have the fashion industry as a job opportunity. This is the objective of Storie di futuro – Made in Italy, the school orientation project aimed at secondary schools in six Italian regions and desired by HModa, a Made in Italy luxury production hub promoted by Holding Industriale (Hind) that includes 11 integrated companies on the entire supply chain, and its school of specialization Accademia HModa, in collaboration with the certified training institution La Fabbrica, a benefit company and educational communication agency associated with the UNA network.
Storie di futuro – Made in Italy aims to help promote among young people the potential and concrete job prospects offered by a leading sector of the Italian economy, the textile, fashion and accessories (TMA) sector, which represents the second largest industry in the country in terms of number of employees and with growing needs, but which has long been faced with a widespread shortage of specialized figures available on the market. The objective of Storie di futuro – Made in Italy is precisely to help reverse this trend, encouraging a change of mentality among the younger generation and promoting among them the choice of a high school with a Fashion address to direct them towards a strategic sector for the Italian economy. The project includes an in-class orientation course for secondary school students in six regions – Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche and Campania – led by teachers who will have followed a targeted training course, proposed by La Fabbrica.
Meetings with professionals and visits to HModa companies in the six regions complete the itinerary, as well as an educational contest that will involve students in the creation of a podcast on the Made in Italy fashion theme. In addition, students will have access to additional content, including a fun test, a video section for inspiration from those already working in the industry, and direct access to schools in the TAM network, Institutes with fashion, technical, professional and art high schools through a dedicated website: www.storiedifuturo.it.
“The textile, fashion and accessories sector is undergoing a strong evolution and needs a new workforce, which is essential to ensure the resilience of the Made in Italy system. It is therefore imperative to invest both in vocational training and in spreading knowledge of the different skills and opportunities in the sector among the younger generations. For this reason, Hind and HModa have decided, in collaboration with La Fabbrica, to launch the project Storie di futuro – Made in Italy with the aim of bringing younger people closer to the fashion professions. The decision to invest in a medium- to long-term project such as Storie di Futuro is part of a broader strategic vision of the Group, which has led HModa to give birth in 2020 to Accademia HModa, the school of specialization to train the skilled workers our industry needs and encourage generational turnover in the Group’s companies,” says Claudio Rovere, founder and chairman of Hind-Holding Industriale.
