From HModa's expertise in training, begins the “Accademia Sartoriale Italiana,“ created in collaboration with the Maison Christian Dior Couture and the LVMH Métiers d'Excellence in Italy: it is the LVMH Group's first training course for ready-to-wear prototypists.
Accademia HModa Società Benefit srl, in collaboration with Maison Christian Dior Couture and the LVMH Métiers d’Excellence in Italy, today inaugurates the “Accademia Sartoriale Italiana”. The ASI comes to life in response to the French luxury group’s needs and is distinguished by being the LVMH group’s first prototypist training course for ready-to-wear, which will take place at Christian Dior Couture’s headquarters in Caselle di Selvazzano (PD).
TAccademia Sartoriale Italiana is a project dedicated to training new prototypists who specialize in the fashion industry, particularly in the production of men’s sportswear and outerwear. The course starts today – Monday, March 17, 2025 – and will end in December, including an internship in prestigious companies such as Christian Dior Couture, two HModa Group companies – Project and RBS, respectively – and Pespow.
The training will consist of 320 hours of theory and practice, followed by 288 hours of prototyping workshop, and then conclude with an in-company experience, guaranteeing participants a highly specialized and professionalizing course.
The training will be guided by an industrialization technician from RBS, an expert in patternmaking and garment making who, thanks to her own experience and the collaboration of the LVMH Métiers d’Excellence, will transfer the group’s own skills of excellence to the trainees. Accademia Sartoriale Italiana also represents an important job placement opportunity, with 70% of participants being able to obtain a contract at partner companies.
Special attention will be given to sustainability, with the use of waste materials for production, in line with new trends in the fashion industry. The project also aims to bridge the generation gap between experienced artisans and new recruits, responding to the growing demand for skilled personnel in the industry.
Claudio Rovere, founder and president of Hind, comments, “Education represents a fundamental value for HModa, a pillar on which to build the future of the sector. Being chosen as a partner for this initiative is an important recognition for us, which enhances our educational commitment and underlines the quality and excellence of our know-how. Moreover, this pathway confirms the strategic role of Italy and the Veneto region as the cradle of high-level tailoring, where we can offer our students a unique opportunity to access skills of excellence and concrete career prospects in the fashion world.”
